1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services provided by this Website (hereinafter the “Services”), you agree and understand that this Website will treat your use of the Services as acceptance of the Terms. If you do not agree, please exit and disregard the information contained herein.

However, if you want to access certain Services which are specifically personalized for your need, you may be required to register a membership (hereinafter ” Membership”) with the Hong Kong IBD Society and provide information about yourself, such as name, address, email address etc, as part of the registration process for the Services.

It is important to note that the Society will collect personal information from you only when it is voluntarily provided. You agree the Society has the rights to disclose their registration database as required, including but not limited to, the business partners of the Society for both direct and indirect marketing promotions unless you have chosen not to receive information on or materials of related topics in future.

3. Privacy and your personal information
The Society recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by Users and collects personally identifiable information only when it is voluntarily provided, includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address or any other information which might reasonably be used to identify you individually. Handling of personally identifiable information will be at all times fully observing the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR in collecting, maintaining and using the personal data of the Society member.

This Website may also monitor the access of users. If monitored, the requesting URLs, the machine originating the request, and the time of the request, are logged for access statistics and security purposes. Your use and access to this Website constitutes your consent to such general monitoring.

4. Membership, Member Login Name, Password and Safety
When you register your Membership , you will be given your Member Login Name and password . The Society reserves the right not to accept your registration for any reason in our sole discretion.

You agree that you shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Member Login Name and password. If you suspect of any unauthorized use of your Member Login Name, or you discover any security problems, you agree to notify the Society by email ([email protected]) immediately. The Society is not responsible for any loss or damage arising out of any unauthorized use or security problem.

5. Members Conduct
As a condition of using the Services, you agree:

(a) that you are solely responsible for any breach of your obligations under the Terms and for the consequences of any such breach;

(b) that the registration information under your Member ship is correct, accurate and up to date;

(c) to use this Website only for the purposes that are permitted by the Terms and any applicable law and regulations. By way of example, and not as a limitation, the following activities are prohibited:

(i) to upload, post, send e-mail or forward, any content that is illegal, harmful, hurtful, defamatory, or morally offensive content, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party.

(ii) to engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Services including the servers and network lines which are linked with this Website.

(iii) to impersonate any person or entity, including but not limited to site supervisor or moderator to misrepresent affiliation with any person or entity.

The Society reserves the right, but have no obligation, to review, flag, filter, modify, refuse, remove or delete any or all contents from any Services should the contents or any part thereof be deemed as inappropriate, indecent, offensive or infringe the intellectual property of any party.

6. Termination of Member ship
You agree that the Society may terminate your Member ship (or any part thereof) or use of the Services, and remove and discard any content within the Services, for any reason, with or without notice, or in the event of any of the following situations:

(a) you have breached any provision of the Terms or have acted in manner which clearly shows that you do not intend to, or are unable to comply with the provisions of the Terms;

(b) the Society has decided, at its sole discretion and at any time, to terminate its entire Services or any part thereof.

If you want to terminate your Membership, you may notify the Society through mail or email ([email protected]).

This Website is designed for information purpose only.
