What is HKIBDS
Background
In light of the significant rise of incidence and prevalence of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) in Hong Kong, a group of experienced health care professionals established the Hong Kong IBD Society in 2009 to promote the advancement of the study of IBD in Hong Kong.

As at 2021, we have more than 100 ordinary and affiliate members who are Physicians, Surgeons, Pediatricians and Nurses. Throughout the years, we have organized numerous scientific symposia and interactive workshops which provided the platform for knowledge exchange with distinguished overseas and local IBD experts.
Community
We also collaborate with the patient support group, The Hong Kong Crohn’s and Colitis Society on various patient educational activities including IBD Patient Forum.
